8. Web analytics with Microsoft Clarity

This website uses Microsoft Clarity, a web analytics service provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland ("Microsoft").

Clarity helps us understand how visitors use this website — which content is read and where difficulties occur. For this purpose, usage data is collected in pseudonymised form and aggregated into heatmaps and session recordings. The following is recorded in particular:

  • mouse, scroll and click movements, page views and time on page
  • truncated IP address, approximate location at country/region level
  • browser, operating system, device type and screen resolution
  • referrer URL (the page you came from)

Entries in form fields are masked by Clarity by default and are not transmitted in plain text. We use Clarity solely to improve our service, not to identify individual people.

Legal basis: Processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Without your consent, Clarity is not loaded and no such data is collected.

Withdrawal: You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.

Transfer to third countries: Processing of your data in the USA cannot be ruled out. Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information is available in the Microsoft privacy statement.

Retention period: Data collected by Clarity is deleted after 13 months at the latest.
